Ways to Clean Your Leather Office Chair

So you have decorated your office with a great set of leather office chairs, things were looking great for a while but then the unthinkable occurs and the employees start to stain them with ink, felts, tip ex and more. Leather chairs are rather expensive to buy so if you or an employee were to stain them it would be a shame. Here we will have a look at some simple ways to remove stains, as well as some more unique ways in which you can use to get rid of the more stubborn stains.

The first few are quite obvious, but underestimated techniques which you may use to get your chairs sparkling again. Firstly there is the use of alcohol, no not to drink but to use as a sort of white spirit on your leathers. It is very good at removing stains and it safe on the materials. Another great use are baby wipes, although you may think that baby wipes are mild and soft because they are used on kids all the time, but the actual cleaning agents inside them work great at dissolving stains and are also sensitive to the body. Finally another great method is to use antibacterial gel, you should apply this to a stain and let it sink into the material and then wipe it away.

If none of the above techniques have worked, I would recommend trying these more advanced tips, but always remember to test it on an area of your leather chair so you are certain it won't affect the colour or the fabric. The first solution would be to use hairspray, but you must be very careful with hairspray because they do contain other chemicals which may actually damage the leather material. If you are worried about using the hairspray on your fabrics then there is another more lenient choice. A strong woman's remedy called the nail polish remover, please note that this is a very strong substance and should be used under precautions. You will only need to dab a little onto the stain and rub it in and you should gradually see it disappear.

Please note you should always treat your leather chairs with great care, because if you apply to much of the chemicals it may ruin it completely. If your stains are still there after trying everything I would recommend purchasing a new chair and avoiding the same mistake.
