Why painters yesterday and today prefer oil paintings to express their art? The answer is too easy. They prefer oil paintings because their works are more expressive. This style is the most used by new painters.

Paintings and their frames are made of many materials. These include: paint, glue, varnish, canvas, wood and metal. Together they form a complex structure that is easily damaged if knocked. The materials are also sensitive and can be damaged by, the surrounding environment, principally extremes and changes in humidity and heat, as well as by light and dirt.

Always is important to know about oil paintings. How to make oil painting? The basic structure follows the following steps: Preparing the canvas, making the right mix of paint material, making the under painting, glazing, drying and varnish.

Vincent van Gogh is one of its greatest exponents. Between 1881 and 1890, Vincent van Gogh painted approximately 900 paintings. Since his death, he has become one of the most famous painters in the world. Van Gogh’s paintings have captured the minds and hearts of millions of art lovers.

The Bedroom at Arles, Church at Auvers, Houses at Auvers, Fishing in the spring and Field of Poppies are some of their famous oil paintings. Many people want to imitate his style, but this is impossible. You should take Van Gogh paintings like reference. It is important to define your own style.

If you have the possibility to buy an oil painting, do it. Don’t think too much. It will be a good investment. Remember, Art is universal and the culture is priceless.
