Build a High Converting Squeeze Page by Adding Video

You know all about squeeze pages and what they can do for you in terms of list building and attracting new customers. However, if you are finding that your squeeze page is not converting as you had hoped you might want to try to add other elements, such as video to the mix.

Words are attractive and absolutely necessary to a good squeeze page. However, in some cases, it just may not be enough. It really depends on your audience and who you are trying to target, and what you are offering. Some topics and categories are more difficult than others.

Your goal is to convince your visitors that you know what you are talking about and that you are the expert in your field. You have to earn their trust and give them a reason to take your word for it, over that of your competition. Sometimes, the words on your squeeze page are not enough, therefore, you should try adding video and getting a little bit personal.

Words are not personal, even if you try to make them sound like they are. However, with a video, people can put a face to the words. They can feel as though you are personally talking to them and in many cases, you grab those hard to convert people just with something as simple as a short video.

Overall, people tend to trust someone more if they can see them. Does this mean that you have to create a ten minute video focusing on yourself? No, in fact creating a long video is exactly what you do not want to do. Your visitors are short on time and will not watch the entire video.

What you want to do is make a short video about two to three minutes long that will grab their attention and make them want to give you their personal information in exchange for what you are offering. Introduce yourself and your product, tell them why they must have it. Highlight some of the finer points of your product by actually showing it to them.

But don't show them too much. You should show them just enough to peak their interest. If they want to find out the nitty gritty they will have to give up their name and email for the rest.

Improve your list building technique and create a truly powerful squeeze page by adding video into your mixture. You may just find that this was the missing key all along.
