Like many other countries, the United Kingdom has its own association for roofing contractors. The National Federation of Roofing Contractors is a London-based roofing association founded by a group of 40 slate merchants and slaters. It has branches all over the United Kingdom and is divided into eight regions. They strive to provide industrial-level roofing for the houses and buildings of the country. It grew past the local level as the years went by and the association ultimately became a national federation. It contains eight different regions of the United Kingdom with its headquarters located in London. The association has a mission to ensure the best quality roof work available in the country as well as providing the proper insurance and warranties. It has proven itself to be a very reliable roofing association over the years. In value, the National Federation of Roofing Contractors holds over 60% of the country's roofing industrial work and contractors. It is the biggest supplier of roofing tiles in the nation. The association strives to produce industrial roof tiles and hires top-quality roofing contractors.The National Federation of Roofing Contractors has come a long way from the original group of 40 slaters and slate merchants back in 1892. Starting as a humble meeting of slaters and slate merchants, the National Federation of Roofing Contractors has grown to a nationally recognized association. It controls 60% of the United Kingdom's roofing industry and it provides proper insurance and warranties as well as hires quality roofing contractors.The association is based in London, but it controls eight regions across the United Kingdom.
