All he has to do is regulate the time tables and carefully avoid them running into each other by keeping up-to-date with the flight schedules. The three amazing women are - Gloria, an American, Gabriella, an Italian and Gretchen, a German.
Bernard's housekeeper, Bertha, reluctantly plays the romantic air-traffic controller, trying her best at all times to avoid a collision and subsequent disaster. Unfortunately for our hero, a fast new Boeing airplane gets introduced. It makes international flights short and, despite his careful planning, Bernard, with every passing day, finds it more and more difficult to keep the girls from running into each other.
Amidst all the confusion, Bernard's school chum Roberts lands up and now the chaos is more pronounced than ever. Best efforts are made by Bernard, Bertha and Robert, but the turbulence increases and the lies become bigger and bigger. Bertha is exhausted and wants to quit and Bernard and Robert don't know what to do. This is until the girls cross paths and all hell breaks loose. Eventually things calm down and everyone is finally at peace, with their respective partners.
Over the years, Boeing Boeing has earned a lot of critical acclaim, which has led to the play being revived again and again. In addition, the play has been adapted for film four times.
