In the name of Fashion. By Estelle long
Fashion is a term that usually applies to a person that is often wearing the clothes that are of the fashion or style of the time, but how do you refer to celebrities or people who make styles popular, my first thought would be a trendsetter "One that initiates or popularizes a trend".
So surely becoming a trendsetter must be what the masses aspire to look like, therefore surely to make an impression this cannot be achieved from the high street.
Ladies clothing especially seems to be made by most retailers on the high street nowadays including the supermarkets "Dressed by grocers," comes to mind but where should women look for that Unique look?
Knowing the industry well it seems that "big" is not always best these days, there are small companies out there that produce good quality clothing that are made in small numbers thus bringing the wearer that ultimate different look.
An example of this would be Joanne Louise, who had an exclusive online ladies fashion boutique, The prices are very reasonable probably due to only selling online but the clothing is very different to what is on offer in the main stores. What I do like about this store is they do select women's clothing from different companies on merit.
There are other companies of course but this was a good example as they have been trading for some time, so if you wish to start looking for unique trendsetting looks try looking at some of these types of companies. They service is probably much better also.
In the name of fashion I hope the high street doesn't win, or we will all be wearing the same clothes..
