Amsterdam has many interesting neighborhoods to explore. The landscape is full of graceful bridges and eccentric churches. Most attractions are within the canals. With a population of 739.000 inhabitants, Amsterdam is the main city of the Netherlands. It is a port city.
The best season to visit Amsterdam is between June and August. Book your Hotel in this season. Amsterdam's summer months are wonderful. Bicycles are good options to travel around the city. Hire one, but don’t forget to buy a lock or chain.
Walking and jogging are other healthy and cheap activities. Windsurfing is almost a national sport during the winter. Obviously, soccer is the most important sport in the Netherlands. Holland has a competitive soccer team; unfortunately to Dutch people the national team was eliminated of the Euro cup 2008 by Russia last week.
It’s time to relax, go back to your Hotel and sleep.
The Red Light District is the adult option. It is the only place in Amsterdam where the camera is not permitted. It is best to come during the day to avoid the crowds. But few people visit the District in the morning; young people prefer visiting this place at night when nightclubs and pubs are open.
Another adult option is the Heiniken museum. It is situated inside the original Heineken Brewery opened in 1930; the museum offers a complete explanation of the brewery process. The tour ends with free samples of beer. If you are lucky, maybe you win a gift after the tour.
As you can see the fun never ends in Holland. Save your money and visit the Netherlands in your next vacations. It is an honest advice.
