Planning for Your Wedding Stationery

A wedding day is of course a once-in-a-life event. To this end you will be spending a lot of time on your wedding planning. In fact, one of the most important things in your wedding planning is your wedding stationery.

Taking the wedding invitation as an example, this is the first impression you will give your guests for your wedding. As a result, you will need to design a wedding invitation which can represent the personalities of your fiance and you, as well as the theme of your wedding.

In fact, wedding invitation is only one of the items for your wedding stationery. You will need to decide on the details on each item in order to make your wedding stationery set a perfect one. If you are currently considering your wedding stationery, this article is certainly for you.

There are different items involved in your wedding stationery. You will need to prepare for your save the date card. You will need to send a respond card along with your invitation card. In your wedding, you may need to prepare place cards and the menu. You will also need to send a thank you card after your wedding. The above are only some basic items you will need to consider, you may even need to add some other items when necessary. For example, you may need to add a map card if a lot of your guest will drive to your wedding venue.

The first thing you need to consider is the save the date card. You will need to send this card to the guests you are going to invite so that they can prepare for attending your wedding. This is very important if you are going to host a destination wedding. Your guests may need to arrange air tickets beforehand. Normally you will send your save the date card half to a year before your wedding.

Then it comes to your wedding invitation. In most cases you will send your invitations six to twelve weeks before your big day. Considering the content of your wedding card, you will need to put the date, time, as well as the location of your wedding. If you require your guest to dress according to some dress code, you may also need to put it down on the card. As mentioned, you may send a respond card along with your invitation. This card will sometimes be called RSVP card. Your guest will use this to reply you whether they will attend your wedding or not. You will usually require your guests to reply you about a month before your wedding so that you can arrange your catering services and transportation on your big day.

The thank you card is a card for you to say thank you to your guests. Normally you will order cards with the cover printed. And you will write your own contents inside the card. You will write your thank you note to every guest. Since you will write something different for each guest, normally you will not have the printer to print the contents of the thank you card for you.
