Selecting The Right Trifold Paper

Selecting The Right Trifold Paper

There are mainly three types of trifold brochure paper. First, how do you choose? You should choose your paper type by some different variables. Among them is the amount of money you are willing or able to invest to print your brochures. Also is the quality, and thus representation that you want to portray your company. Another variable in considering trifold brochure paper is how resistant it is. Since a trifold brochure is held, put into small spots like purses or pockets, and are folded and unfolded many times, you should take the paper quality seriously.

Offset Trifold Brochure Paper

Offset paper is the most common paper to use to print anything from magazines to books and CD inserts. Offset paper can come with a gloss or matte finish, or with no finish at all. It is ideal for use as trifold brochure paper because it is easy to fold and unfold, is durable, and is ideal for printing on two sides. Offset paper is a good choice for making your brochure appear more professional and have a higher quality. The matte and gloss finish paper is coated with a layer of clay stucco that gives the paper more strength and makes the ink stand out for a better image quality. Obviously, the non-coated paper is more economical than choosing matte or gloss. However, it is good paper and is worthy to be considered for a cheaper quality alternative.

Newsprint Trifold Brochure Paper

Newsprint is the lowest quality paper, especially for trifold brochure paper. Newsprint is generally used for newspaper and flyers that are for mass distribution. This is because it is the cheapest paper option. Newsprint doesn't have a coating and is easily damaged. It is somewhat flimsy and will rip easily. Therefore, it is not the best option for a trifold brochure that will be handled many times over.

Cover Trifold Brochure Paper

Cover paper is a heavy weight paper that is actually a thin cardboard. It is likely comparable to card stock. Cover paper does have a coating finish. Because of it's finish, which makes images more vibrant, and it's thickness, cover paper is ideal to use as trifold brochure paper. Cover paper is more expensive but should be seriously considered for very important pieces that will be kept and handled over and over by customers and clients. Using cover paper will set you apart from other companies who did not invest in such a quality for their trifold brochure paper. It will certainly make an impact of professionalism.
