How to Get A Celebrity Hair Style

How to Get A Celebrity Hair Style

When you see a celebrity hair style that you like, sometimes it is hard to go in to the salon you get your hair done in and ask for the same thing. Sure, many hair stylists will try to give you the celebrity hair style that you want, but more often than not it does not turn out the way you want it to. Either the color is off of the cut is different or somehow it just does not look the same on you as it does on your Hollywood counterpart.

There are a couple of tricks that you can do to make sure that you get the same celebrity hair style that you want, not some hacked up version on it. First, you should always walk into the salon with an actual picture of the celebrity hair style in your hand. For you to go in and ask for a Jessica Simpson or a Katie Holmes, the stylist might not know exactly what you want. Do you mean Jessica Simpson from last year, or this year? Katie Holmes with long or short hair?

When you bring in an actual picture of the celebrity hair style that you want, there is less guesswork involved on the hairdressers behalf. Instead, he or she can see exactly what it is that you want and get to work trying to recreate it. It also helps a lot if you know what the celebrity hair style that you want is called. For example, Katie Holmes hair is not called The Katie Holmes. Instead, it is referred to as an inverted bob, because of the way that the front is slightly longer than the back.

While knowing what your celebrity hair style is actually called may not sound like a big deal, it can really make the difference. When you bring in the photo, sometimes it can be difficult for the hair stylist to actually figure out how to go about cutting your hair to recreate the same look. When you know what it is called, however, there are usually certain techniques (different scissors, razors, etc.) that can be used to help achieve the right celebrity hair style look. From there, you only have to decide which color to go with and if you want any highlights or lowlights. The coloring part is pretty easy; it is the cutting that is the real challenge.
