You are sitting on beach on a tropical island with a light ocean breeze blowing by. You slowly sip your fruity mixed drink (or beer) as you watch the gentle waves crash up on shore. No this isn't some new mind game that you are being exposed to it is the future of travel, well the future of knowing about your destination before you actually travel.
Now more than ever before you are not only being given great access to hundreds of destinations at affordable prices, but with the addition of such companies such as Concierge and Travelistic, you can view a destination long before you get there.
According to PC Magazine, "Travelistic has a simple YouTube-like interface with over 5,800 user videos from around the world." They go on to say, "A variety of podcasts and videocasts that one can organize by interest and destination is available in Lonely Planet company's Travel Stories section."
Sure you can go hit your local bookstore or library but most books are out of date as soon as they go into print. The world of travel destinations is ever changing. Brittany Peterson of PC Magazine says, "Perusing the travel section at your local bookstore can be daunting. Guide books are hit or miss, with some being out-of-date, and others failing to address your specific travel needs."
With the ever expanding internet videocasts and podcasts give you access to sites and sounds that just weren't available even a couple of years ago.
