Affiliate marketing is tough. Anyone who tells you different is most likely very very smart, or very very stupid. Affiliate marketing has contributed to the rise of many leading online companies. There are some now that have hundreds of thousands of affiliate relationships.
these types of programs has grown into a sophisticated sales and marketing program that can be embedded into opt-in email lists, price comparison tools, shopping directories, review sites, cash-back networks and coupon sites, just to name a few. Affiliates can also be search engine marketers who run pay-per-click campaigns in order to drive traffic and sales for an advertiser.
Affiliate marketing is when one business pays another for generating traffic, leads, or sales. On the Internet, the affiliate sites host banner ads, text links, and graphics that entice visitors to click on them and visit the sponsor site.
This type of marketing is not a stand alone system. It requires an integrated approach. It also can be good if done effectively. I've made some decent amount of money promoting other people's products, but now I'm working on creating my own.
Creating a presell page and offering your thoughts on the product instead of blindly linking out to an external site capitalizes on the trust you've already gained. Internet scams are all over the place, as they are increasing in popularity. Unfortunately, there are also scammers who are using affiliate programs as fronts. Internet theft is happening more and more in recent years. If you are a product owner and are not protecting your products securely, you are most likely open to theft for your products.
