Shades, Sunglasses and Brand Name Eyewear

One of the most important parts on your body that you should protect is your eyes. Unfortunately, this is also the part of the body that people forget about the most often. Most of the time people think that the only ones who should wear sunglasses are those that live by the beach, but this is simply not true. Whether you live by the beach, in the mountains, on a farm or in the middle of the woods, you are exposed to ultraviolet rays at some point or another. These rays, commonly referred to as UV rays, are the most dangerous thing that the sun puts out. Most people are aware of the harmful effects of these rays from getting sunburn at some point in their life, but they are so harmful that they can also cause skin cancer. If the exposure to your skin is this bad then just imagine how harmful it can be for your eyes, something we rely on every single day of our life.

Overexposure of ultraviolet rays to your eyes can cause permanent damage and even a temporary loss of vision. This is why it is so incredibly important to wear some sort of eye protection whenever you are outside. Do not be fooled by the change in seasons either; UV rays in the winter time are even more harmful than in the summertime. If you are a man who cares about how he looks and enjoys spending the time to get ready and look really put together, then you can take full advantage of this new accessory. That is the way you should look at the addition of sunglasses to your wardrobe, as just another thing you get to shop for and coordinate with your outfit.

When you are shopping around for new shades you should try to look for ones that have a gray, brownish yellow, brown or green tint to them because they will protect your eyes better than any other color. These colors work to reduce the brightness and glares that your eyes are normally exposed to. Also, take notice of this when you are looking at designer sunglasses because they are not necessarily the best ones for your eyes. Try to stay with the designer labels that are 100% UV protected because they will give your eyes the ultimate protection from the sun. Stick with glasses that have polarized lenses because they will greatly reduce the glare and are usually scratch resistant so they will last for a long time. Aside from those few tips just look for shades that look good to you and are comfortable to wear because you will be wearing them a lot.
