Why Choose Candle Lanterns For Your Landscape

Candle Lanterns are fast becoming a popular choice of landscape and lightscape designers when they are looking for options to both illuminate and decorate an area. When you are designing your landscape yourself, you will have to answer a number of different questions. The questions of where to put them, what they are made of and where to find them must be addressed when you plan to include candle lanterns in your design.
The most critical part of any landscape design is the placement of the illuminating elements. Considering that each garden and home is unique and candle lanterns come in many shapes and styles, the combinations are limitless. Placing the lanterns on walls to illuminate and showcase at night is an attractive option. Lighting entrances and other areas concealed by darkness is also a good way to improve security in your space. You could light steps and pathways or place them on posts or hang them from tree branches. These are just a few of the options you have for the location of your candle lantern.
But what about the lantern itself, what is it made of? Well, lets take a look at them. The most important part of the candle lantern is the lantern holder. The lantern holders main function is to make sure the candle is supported. Its secondary function is to make sure that the candle is protected from the elements. Most lanterns that you will find, will be constructed of a type of metal. Metal has a higher melting point and will not easily catch fire so it is usually used to provide durability and make the lantern fire-proof. However candle lanterns are not limited to only metallurgical types. Paper lanterns, made with fire retardant paper, are popular choices. Nylon and silk are also used for candle lanterns as well. These are constructed in such a way as to prevent the lantern from catching fire. And if they cannot be, an option to use an LED battery operated fake-candle is also an attractive option.
So where can you pick a candle lantern up? Your hardware or big box store might have a small selection and perhaps you will find the style you are looking for there. However, when compared to the diversity of options on the internet, the selection at the hardware is downright puny.
All of the questions have been answered. There are broad range of options, different construction and design and limitless places to put them. Outdoor candle lanterns are a fun way to spruce up your backyard and you will enjoy them for years to come as you relax in your backyard.
