Breast milk is the best source of nutrition for your baby. In addition to being more affordable than buying enriched milk formula, breast milk is also easier for babies to digest. It is so full of nutrients that some doctors even recommend providing breast milk to children for several years. On the other hand, breast feeding can take up half your day if you don't know a few tricks.
The first trick is to use a breast pump to harvest breast milk at your convenience. This device can relieve pain from built up milk and let you store milk ahead of time. Using a breast pump might even be a necessity if a baby is too weak to suck properly or if the mother has a skin condition that makes nursing painful. In addition to making milk extraction easier on both the mother and child, breast pumps make it possible for more people to help feed the baby. After all, anyone can hold a bottle. This means the mother can get a break every now and then and other family members can have more bonding opportunities with a new arrival.
The second trick to making breast feeding convenient is to use hands free breast pump bras. With the right tools you can type, make calls, write, cook, play with your baby and a hundred other things. For example, a zipper in the front can be more convenient than hooks in the back and strapless bras can be easier to get on and off than others.
