What To See On Your Holidays In Liechtenstein

As a result of its small size Liechtenstein, the place has been affected by external cultural influences. With the overbearing tall castle perched on top of the cliff in Vaduz, this is where people stop for all their paper processing. It was in 2003 when the state tourism decided to increase tourism and so planned on giving keys to Vaduz to businesses to come and conduct workshops and thereby increase visits by foreigners.
Hidden in the midst of the Alps, Liechtenstein is a landlocked country, and also shares borders with other landlocked countries. Ruled by a prince, it belongs to one of the oldest Royal families in Europe. When making a trip to this exotic location, here are five things to keep in mind so you have a fun filled trip.
One of the primary ski resorts is situated right here in Malbun, and within this are a ski school and snowboard school as well. There are slopes fit for beginners and experts alike, which helps people from other places come here for their vacations. There are buses commuting from Vaduz on a daily basis, but only during day time. So, check the timings and book your tickets ahead of time.
Leichtensteinisches Landes Museum is a popular destination with tourists visiting Liechtenstein. To get a first hand insight into what the country is all about, make a visit to this lovely museum. There are interesting artefacts and displays from history which will have you smiling and wondering what is in store in this small town. There are witch trails, burnings and even manufacturing of false teeth which was carried out during the early days, all of which will leave you in awe.
Heimat Museum is yet another museum in Vaduz. This one is situated on a terrace above Vaduz. Triesenberg commands a beautiful view across the River Rhine and the surrounding valley. There is an onion domed church nearby which can be seen from here. The museum is dedicated to the Walser community who used to live around here, since they came during the 13th century.
The Galena Falcon Center is a once in a lifetime chance to get close to various majestic birds, such as eagles, falcons and vultures. This is a centre that is aimed at educating people of their beauty. Get a glimpse of the birds in action and hold them in your hand. Always known to be fierce, watch them and obey orders and follow their trainers around. This is going to be a life changing experience for families, especially for children.
Enjoy yourself on the ride of your lifetime, grab a seat on the four seat Sareis chairlift and let it hoist you up into the mountains. You can go upto 2000 feet high, and there you find a restaurant and bistro waiting for you. From here on, one can start many hiking trips and go up into the hills. Watch the skies change colours and the clouds come along with you, and when done, come right back down.
