Model Helicopters You Can Fly

Model Helicopters You Can Fly

Model helicopters are some of the most frequently flown models planes today. Both the novices and the expert flyers love them to fly. But, model helicopters are different from the normal model planes we have. Helicopters are much difficult to assemble, since they involve many bolts, bearings, metal and plastic to be fixed. Unlike other planes, PVA and balsa wood are used. This means, you will need more mechanics to deal with it. But, this can be fun enough, and so you should not be discouraged. Another good thing about the helicopters is that they can make many daring maneuvers, to excite you with its amazing aerobics. But, I advise a word of caution here, since the helicopters have difficult controls, you need to learn to use all its four controls at the same time and at all times. This makes it a daunting task, especially in bad weather.

While selecting the model helicopters to start with, you should go for the ones, which are simply built with fewer controls. Helicopters have many sensitive parts and if it crashes, it can cause great loses. A good model to start with is the Mosquito Basic, which doesn't require so much effort to put it together. They are fun to assemble and are powered by an Irvine 46 heli. This model comes with its own unique radio control and it is advisable to stick to this model, if you have little experience with the use of the four channel radio control, which is compatible with the Mosquito Basic and is much fun to use.

Another popular electric RC helicopter is the Hurricane 550. This helicopter is an ARF and therefore you will require very short time to assemble. What you need to fix after you buy it are servos, the gyro and the radio receiver. This may take you at least an hour, if you are a beginner, since 95% of the model is already pre-assembled. This model is very ideal for beginners and intermediate flyers, since its fun and easy to fly, though it can't make very difficult maneuvers. There is also Blade CX helicopter, which is one of the world's best sellers. Like the Hurricane 550, this model is easy to fly and beginners will find it fun. Though this model is quite small, yet it will not rob you of the fun of flying. It is affordable and can be flown, even in your backyard.

But, if you are looking to fly a medium size model, that will last you a long time, try EP-8 Electric Helicopter. This model is not too small, to make it hard to fly in strong wind nor is it too big to make it difficult for you to fly. It can be flown at any time and its hum will not harm your relationship with your neighbors, even if you fly it at night near your house. Other models you can look out for, include Mini Titan E325 - Thunder Tiger, Mars 480 - Gazaur, Lepton EX-3D - Hirobo, T-REX 600 - Align, Belt-CP - Esky, Belt CP - Esky and Walkera #35 (Z400) among others.
