Dealing with Failures and Mistakes By Cassidy Williams
While the experience of discovering your life is amazing and full of joy and wonder, the path towards fulfilling that purpose is not easy. The path is actually bumpy and you may fall down every now and then. The rough road and the difficult path, however, should not deter you from following the path you have chosen. There will be times that your resolve is tested and your own strength will be pushed to the limit. There is but one solution to that - do not give up!
You will encounter a lot of mistakes along the way. You will make a wrong turn, make more mistakes and failure is also another possibility. If you dwell too much on the possibility of failing, you might be paralyzed because this is one way of feeding your fears. When your fear of failure becomes embedded in your consciousness, you will find it difficult to proceed. Suddenly, the path is no longer attractive. The act of putting one foot after another seems dragging and nothing seems to be right.
Hold on. Pause for a while and go back to your dreams, your purpose, and the goals you have written for yourself. When you feel the fear of failure knocking at the door of your heart, strengthen your resolve and keen reminding yourself of your dreams and your goals. Keep in mind that you have a goal to win and a prize to claim.
Remember, too, that is not only a matter of keeping yourself from failing. If you have this mindset, you will only prevent failure. You will fail to take advantage of the full range of what you can achieve. You should have an attitude of a winner so that you are motivated to exert effort to win and not only to prevent failure.
Don't play safe. Take risks. Winners do that a lot. If in the course of your struggles, your risks do not take off and you fall down on the ground instead. Why, you stand up! Dust yourself up, and then run again towards your destination.
Those who play it safe tend to remain in the backgrounds and pick only the kinds of goal that do not demand a great deal of effort. Like people say - the higher the stakes, the more difficult is the fight for the prize. Go on, proceed with your mission. Life is not worth living if you are not on the edge.
