Working in a team can be one of the most interesting experiences. For individual or team, it can either be a pleasant or unpleasant experience. In anyway, working in a team can be a great learning experience for the individuals or team to develop and improve. There are many great lessons that one can observed from building a team that work very well as a team.
The first lesson that one can learn from team that work well together is such teams have clear objectives for the team. The team is able to understand clearly their roles in the team. Such clear understanding of roles encourages and motivates individuals to work hard and well as a team.
Second lesson that one can learn and observe from such teams is great teams have high morale and motivation to succeed well as a team. One can learn that in such teams, they focus on the team development and morale as well as high expectations for results achievements. Great teams have high morale and are able to achieve great results.
Thirdly, the great lesson in such teams is the great participation among the team members in the work. For example, in setting goals and objectives for the team, each team member play their roles in contributing to what they felt are best for the team. Such participation can encourage better communication and strong bonding of good working relationship among the team members.
Fourthly, the great lesson is there are great mutual respect and support among the team members. One can learn that good team player provide great support to team members especially difficult period and adversity. Such team player understands that for the team to succeed, the support given and meeting team objectives are important for the team success.
Fifthly, one can learn that such successful team sets specific and clear goals. For example, in the sports game of soccer, instead of just indicating to win the game, the team can set clear and specific goals by scoring two goals and conceding no goal to win the game. Apart from setting the specific and clear goals, one can also learn that such teams monitor their progress in pursuing team success. Such progress can be monitored by having regular reviews together between team leaders and members on the progress in achieving both personal and team development to success.
Lastly, a great lesson one can learn from such teams is their continual willingness to grow and learn as a team. The lesson here can also include the importance of encouraging innovation in the team to develop strategies and actions for success in the team. Overall,the above learning lessons in working well as a team can be an interesting experience for individuals and team.
