A girl might have many friends, but her best friend is always the diamond she owns. No one can argue on this because there is nothing more exquisite than a diamond that can attract a girl. The structure of gemstones is weakened if there are any inclusions. This makes them susceptible to damage. It is advisable to keep different gemstones in separate pouches so that one does not get scratched by the other. Also proper care should be taken to keep the radiance of the stone intact.
Gemstone jewelry like pendants and rings should be cleaned regularly with a mild soap solution. This is done to wash away the dirt and soap that gets accumulated in the crevices of the jewelry. Gemstones like amber, pearls and corals should be kept away from chemicals that can spoil their surface. These chemicals are found in hairsprays, cosmetics, perfumes and similar products. Turquoise, an opaque gemstone, and silver jewelry should be kept away from ammonia. Ammonia can however, be used to clean sapphires, diamonds and rubies.
