Aren't you tired of the way in which you have been living your life? True, you may have been wealthy and prestigious, yet, how come there is a hole in your heart? This hole in your heart is a very difficult thing to deal with.
Emptiness is a very heavy thing to carry, so it is very important for you to deal with the questions concerning your purpose and passions in life. This way, you can easily deal with the questions regarding your life directions and the sources of your joy and happiness.
To discover the purpose of your life, you need to start with the very basic questions. Who are you? The question of identity is central to your humanity. Identity is more than just you name. True, your name speaks a lot about your identity and your life. Your identity, however, deals with your total person - your character traits, your interests, as well as your hobbies. This also includes your quirks and your habits. By establishing your identity, you can easily move on to more complex matters.
Try looking at your own life backwards. This may not be an easy task because it involves imagining yourself to be lying on your back on your coffin or on your death bed. Try to project yourself to that and compose a draft of your eulogy. There is nothing like death to help us remember that life is very fragile and ends soon.
By projecting yourself to the end of your life, you can take a look at the different ways that your life can take. Writing your eulogy also helps you focus on the most important things in your life. As you write your eulogy, keep in mind the direction you wish to take. Is it worth it? Is this your vision of greatness?
Your eulogy helps you imagine the legacy of your life. If you do not know yet the direction you wish to take, this exercise can help you focus your mind on the legacy you wish to create. It is also a way to help you formulate the steps you need to turn your vision to reality. Everything starts with a dream. A huge project that will shake the planet and a little wish both start with the dream. Sure, it requires work to make it a reality, but it all starts with a dream.
