Flying and flying machines Intrigue us all. Whether it is a bird, a plane, or a parachutist deftly swirling and swerving across the skyline, an elaborate air show is such a sensory stimulating experience that it arguably rivals a circus in regard to being the greatest show on Earth.
Witnessing a team of pilots precisely maneuvering their planes so intricately in tandem is truly a most provocative experience. It touches on the surreal and can make you believe, momentarily, that you can also fly.
There also are air shows or, perhaps, more appropriately defined as consortiums that are reserved for pilots, clients, and prospective buyers, such as Eur-Avia 2008, which is held in Cannes, France, a city full of qualified potential buyers. Ce la vie!
The 2008 NAF El Centro Air Show gives the public an opportunity to see the USAs finest pilots executing aerial maneuvers that is sure to take the collective breaths away from all who attend. The one-day air show takes flight Saturday, March 8, at 10 a.m., at the NAF Air Facility in El Centro.
The singular role of the National Air Facility in El Centro, Calif., is to preserve national security by keep our soldiers combat readiness peaked. Seeing this state-of-the-art facility firsthand is a great reminder of why we all love baseball, hot dogs, apple pies, and the patriotic way. It is a priceless experience for all ages. VIP seating, which includes shade, seating, and light refreshments, is available.
The Coastal Carolina Air Show lands April 19-20, 2008, at the Wilmington International Airport in North Carolina. Featured attractions include the high flying U.S. Air Force jet team Thunderbirds and the death-defying parachute team of the U.S. Army the Golden Knights.
Seeing the twisting, turning daredevil aerial choreography executed by members of the Golden Knights as they freefall 120 mph from the sky is breathtaking. The GK parachute team is considered by many to be the worlds best. The Thunderbirds have been flying over captivated audiences looking skyward since 1953.
What a great location for a gathering! Eur-Avia 2008 is a two-day private affair for pilots, clients, and potential clients held in Cannes, France, at the International Airport of Cannes Mandelieu, which is on the Azur. The occasion is recognized worldly as the best commercial exhibition of the aeronautical industry. Private and leisure aircraft as well as kit planes and innumerable related accessories are exhibited.
Quebec international air show is a three day extravaganza that will be soaring over the Jean Lesage International Airport June 13 thru 15, 2008. Eleven acts are presented, including the Snowbirds, the Thunderbirds, the Blue Angels, and the Patrouille de France.
The Snowbirds, a.k.a. 431 Squadron, are the world renowned jet team of the Canadian Air Force. Simulated WWII air battles, novel aerodynes, airborne daredevils, and parachute teams round out the roster of skyward entertainment.
So, now you can ponder heading to events focused on the wild blue yonder!
