The Choice - Ultrasonic Liposuction By Mike Pedersen
The demand for liposuction is growing and ultrasonic is an alternative to the traditional process. Ultrasonic liposuction, otherwise known as Ultrasound Assisted Liposuction (UAL) is actually no longer a new approach. It has been around for several years now. The only reason that it didn't catch on with the public is that it tended to have more cons than pros. Now with plastic surgeons using the 3rd generation machines, the procedure is now safer and much more effective.
What is UAL?
It is a process that uses the aid of a probe that emits ultrasound waves, effectively liquefying the fat and turning it into oil. This process is said to be much more effective and has a shorter recovery time because there is very little damage to the surrounding tissues other than liquefying the fat tissue into oil. This way there is less damage to the surrounding blood vessels because the liposuction cannula does not force its way through the fat. This decreases its function to the sucking out of the liquefied fats tissue only.
Types Of UALs And How They Work
There are basically two types of the procedure and they are internal and external. The difference is only with the location of the Ultrasound Waves emitter. Internal procedures have the emitter together with the liposuction cannula. External UALs have an external machine that is placed over the area to be worked on and then a suction cannula would be inserted to suck the liquefied fat. Most surgeons prefer the internal kind because it takes a shorter time to perform.
Comparison To Other Types Of Lipo
It is considered a more thorough liposuction procedure than the traditional methods. The patients have reported shorter recovery times or down times. There is less bruising because there is less force applied on the tissues resulting in a decrease in the number of severed blood vessels. This procedure is also considered to be more accurate and much more specific in sculpting the body. The downside to this procedure is perhaps the fact that it almost takes twice the time to perform this procedure than it does with the traditional form of liposuction. For The Busy Lifestyle
Life in Manhattan is very fast paced and hectic. Her residents do not have the luxury of spending the time for 2 or 3 weeks recovery from a liposuction procedure. This is where ultrasound assisted liploplasty come in handy. Even though it is a longer process, recovery time is shorter. So for busy people, ultrasonic liposuction may be the best choice.
