Whether it is a childs birthday party, a wedding, a family reunion, or a religious celebration, the only skills you will need are the soft skills that are inborn to some individuals. You will need empathy, compassion and of course understanding to discern what your client really wants versus what he or she will settle for. You will require a calm and kind firmness that will help those who are getting overly nervous or distraught at the thought of hosting an event with more than 500 attendees to keep going without despairing.
You will be the liaison between local businesses and out of state guests. If you are detail oriented and hard to shake, then event coordinator might be the way to go. For those with a clinical background, an athletic leaning or a knack for cooking and nutrition, the entrepreneurial possibilities available under the umbrella of dietary consultant are legion. You might consider counseling the unaware, working out with those in need of exercise as a personal trainer, become a personal shopper, act as a personal chef or simply do some online education. The possibilities are endless.
Those with nimble fingers and an eye for beauty will appreciate the opportunity of running a clothes alteration or creation business while those with an eye for personal beauty and the knowledge of the endless aisles in the beauty section of the mega mart may consider becoming personal beauty consultants. If you lack specific skills but always have a nice and neat home, then a cleaning service may be your way of fulfilling your entrepreneurial dream. All you need are some cleaning products, reliable transportation and the willingness to roll up your sleeves and get to work.
