A Nursing Home Negligence Horror Story

A 77 year old grandmother had developed severe dementia and the decision was made to place her in a nursing home. Her daughter placed her mother in the Southwood Nursing Center in the state of Florida, thinking that the facility would take of her. Unfortunately for the grandmother, she was sexually assauletd by another resident that was 83 years old.
The 83 year old male had been placed in the home, when he was found wandering the streets. A Florida court had declared him a vulnerable adult, in need of protective services.
