Candida Treatment

Candida Treatment

To really target the root cause of Candida, a diet combined with a cleanse is really the only way to treat it. You can always cure the symptoms temporarily with creams and conventional drugs, but the will come back after a while.

A candida diet takes some planning but isn't really as hard as you would think. You basically have to avoid sugar and wheat, that will feed the Candida. Canned and ready made foods have to be cut out for a while, because artificial substances should be avoided. Most dairy product except yoghurt, as well as foods containing yeast.

You can eat most meats and fish as well. Vegetables, rye sour bread with no yeast is ok in moderation. Oils and butter is ok. Grape and lemon is allowed, but avoid fruit during the treatment, because fruit sugar is also nourishment for the yeast.

Do some planning before you start with a diet. You are going to have to cook a lot of your food now instead of eating ready made food. It's good to think about not having a too busy schedule the first week, because in the beginning of the diet, you might feel quite tired, and the symptoms can initially get worse. This will go away after some days and is nothing to worry about, but it can be tiresome. See to it that you can rest as much as possible.

After the treatment you can do a colon cleanse once or twice a year to keep it under control. This is usually enough if you eat moderate amounts of sugary foods. If you have been suffering from over weight, getting rid of Candida might be a good start to reach your weight goals, because Candida will make it harder to deal with those problems, not least because of the sugar cravings Candida can cause.
