Learn How to Face Paint at Home

If you want to learn how to face paint, the best place to learn is inside the four corners of your home. This is because your home will provide all the comfort and accessibility of the materials that you will need. Aside from providing comfort and safety within the walls of your own abode, you don't have to worry about what the face paint looks like because nobody can see you.

If you are learning how to face paint at home, there are two options available for you. The first option would include you using yourself as a model for the face painting. Here, you can do whatever pattern you want and you can experiment with the colors and designs without worrying that your model will complain. By using yourself as the model in learning how to face paint, you can learn how to much pressure should be applied when doing the craft especially to other people. Aside from giving you the independence to do designs and mix up all the colors that you like, face painting using yourself as a model will also help you gain the confidence and patience you need in doing the trick. However, face painting yourself would require skill, patience, and research about materials to be used and face paint designs, so you really have to do some practice first.

The next option that you have when learning how to face paint at home is through using a model. It can be any of your family members or friends who are willing to help you enhance your face painting skills. But, before you face paint a model, you have to make sure that you will be using the proper paints and materials to avoid any allergic reaction from the paint or any accidents for that matter. Always remember that you will be dealing with the most important part of the person's body, the face that is why utmost care, attention, and preparation should be given into it.

Step by step face painting at home

Whether you are the "master painter" or you are the willing "victim," the fun and excitement face painting brings cannot be compared to other activities that can be done at home.

If you starting to learn how to face paint at home, you should conduct a research about the craft itself. In fact, it would be best to take a short face painting course either online or through self-study so you will be familiar with the basics as well as the "do's" and "don'ts" in face painting. Once you have already familiarized yourself with what a starting face painter should do, you can now proceed in doing the actual face painting.

If you will be using model in face painting at home, the first thing that you should do is to make the model comfortable as possible. This can be done by providing a comfortable chair or starting up a short and light conversation before the face painting session starts. Once you have made your model comfortable, make sure that you place a clean towel around his or her shoulders to ensure that no other part of the model's clothes ort body will be painted.

In painting female models, make sure that their hair especially the long ones will not get in the way by tying it up. After tying or covering the hair, it is very important that you wipe his or her face using a damp clothe or tissue to ensure that no other chemicals such as make up will interfere with the face paint you will be using. This also ensures that the model will not develop any skin allergy that is a result of the make-up and the face paint when combined.

By using a damp make up sponge, you can now apply the base paint in the model's face. The coverage of the base paint should depend on the design or template that will be used. After applying the base paint, you can now proceed in painting the details of the face paint design using special brushes usually used for make-up application.

The most important detail that should be paid attention to when learning how to face paint is the details of the eyes. Make sure that you have your model look up or close the entire eye during painting his or her eyelids to come up with great effect.
